The week that was Samoan Language!

Vaiaso le Gagana Samoa - Samoa Language Week 27 May - 1 June

The theme for 2015 is Tautua nei mo sou manuia a teaao : Serve now for a better tomorrow. Tautua means “to serve”. The concept of tautua in the Sāmoan culture is that of leadership through service - gaining the attributes and recognition of leadership through serving from the back, rather than leading from the front.

Fa’afetai lava, thank you very much to all of the parents, staff and children that proudly gave their support in many different ways to bring us a Samoan language week rich in language, activities, food and even environmental awareness in our library afternoon; Moata o le Talafatai Home to Harbour with Laryssa Toelupe.
